Marianne Williamson is an internationally acclaimed lecturer, activist and author of four No 1 New York Times bestselling books. She has been one of America’s most well known public voices for more than three decades. Seven of her twelve published books have been New York Times bestsellers and Marianne has been a popular guest on television programs such as Oprah, Good Morning America, and Bill Maher. A quote from this book which has sold over one million copies, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure…” is considered an anthem for a contemporary generation of spiritual seekers.
This is another excellent book from Marianne Williamson. She delves deep into suffering and our societies neurotic obsession with seeking happiness. Numbing ourselves from our pain we spend our lives depressed and disconnected from our truth. In this book, Marianne offers a different way by asking profound questions such as: What is the meaning of suffering? and What is it calling me to understand? The book finishes with an exploration of the common theme that runs through all the great religions and shows how their message is universal and eternal. Highly recommended reading.
